I'm not even going to pretend 2013 was a good year. It was on of the most trying, frustrating, demoralizing, and aggravating years in my recent memory. Trying to pull something positive out of the year isn't even worth it. I hope that I can eventually look back on 2013 and see that I've come out stronger, and smarter. No work tomorrow so spending the night cleaning and thinking on the year. Aside from the lack of traveling 2012 wasn't bad. It was our first full year in our house which, while sometimes I feel like I do a disproportionate amount of upkeep, I'm still really happy to have a Home of my own. Looking back, this has been quite a year. J and I both got to travel internationally for the first time and had a blast in Paris;I published my first professional article and have received pretty decent feedback for my work; and J and I bought a house.
